The FFY 2020 IPPS Proposed Rule has been published. How does this impact your hospital?
CMS is continuing the Worksheet S-10 methodology to calculate a provider's Factor 3 for the distribution of Uncompensated Care Pool (UCP) dollars.
Factor 3 will now ONLY be comprised of ONE year of Worksheet S-10 data.
Significant reimbursement shifts have been identified in the reported S-10 data.
Hospitals should evaluate the impact to their UCP payment if Worksheet S-10 data is used from 2015 or 2017 cost reports.
